Perfect for those who might be a little nervous about the heat! For Moksha Lite, we turn down both the heat and the intensity of the class. Each posture is described in detail with plenty of help from the instructor, and there is lots of time for breaks! Perfect for beginners, and also for experienced yogis who are looking to get back to basics.
Moksha yoga is a dynamic system of postures and breathing exercises specifically designed to be practiced in the heat. Moksha classes are intended to open, strengthen and detoxify the entire body. The traditional 40 posture series is done in a 90 minute class, though there are 60 & 75 minute condensed versions. Suitable for all levels.
In this class the Moksha sequence is linked together with vinyasa flows. Emphasis will be on the synergy between breath and movement to help you deepen your practice. This class is always moving, and is set at a quicker pace than a Moksha class. It is great for upper body strengthening and improving cardiovascular health. All levels welcome, though beginners are encouraged to feel comfortable with the standard Moksha series first.
Jivamukti is a fun and fast-paced sequence developed by world-renowned teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life. Set to upbeat music, this class will challenge you to play your edge and push your limits (and have fun along the way!). Not suitable for beginners.
Yin is both a gentle and challenging yoga practice. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes, stretching deep muscle tissue and fascia. All poses are seated or reclined. The slower nature of this practice is often described as a "moving meditation". A great compliment to your regular practice. Suitable for all levels.
Yogassage is like chocolate and peanut butter - one of those amazing combinations that just feels right!
Led by our in-house Registered Massage Therapist, Kelly Donald, and assisted by a certified Moksha Yoga instructor, Yogassage combines the benefits of long, passive yoga stretches with the deep tissue release of massage... What that means is that you get a massage while you're in a yoga pose - possibly the most relaxing experience in the world!
To guarantee that you get lots of hands-on attention, we limit the class to just six people, so online pre-registration is highly encouraged. Also, please note, Yogassage is not included in any class pass or membership.
Yogassage is offered on Saturdays at 10:30am and 12:15pm, and runs for 75 minutes. The cost is $30 per session.
